EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION

Patronato San Xavier (PSX) invites applications for its next Executive Director, a rare opportunity to lead the preservation and long-term stewardship of Mission San Xavier del Bac—one of the most significant historic and sacred sites in the American Southwest. Often called the “White Dove of the Desert,” the Mission is both a National Historic Landmark and an active Roman Catholic parish, deeply rooted in the spiritual and cultural life of the Tohono O’odham Nation and the community of Wa:k. The Executive Director will serve as chief executive and public representative of PSX, guiding strategy, strengthening financial sustainability, advancing conservation excellence, and building trusted partnerships that honor the Mission as a living church and cultural treasure. This is a mission-driven leadership role for a thoughtful, experienced nonprofit executive ready to steward an irreplaceable landmark with integrity, humility, and vision.
