Patronato FY24 Annual Report Snapshot
Patronato FY24 Annual Report Snapshot
These graphs present our FY24 income/expenses ratio for Patronato’s last fiscal year, July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
Patronato’s philosophy is that no new projects launch without money having been raised or identified through grants or other sources. In this last fiscal year, funds for the work in the dome and cupola had been raised in prior years and were being held in savings. Some of these funds were replaced through proceeds of grants from the State Heritage Fund. (Those reimbursements were not received until the current fiscal year.)
Our newest priority project, rehabilitation of the retablo facade is, in part, covered by grant funds from the National Parks Service via their prestigious Semiquincentenial Grant Program. We have also been building funds against this project since 2022 and have some $400K held in reserve. Only a portion of funds raised in the current year feature in the graphs (see “Designated Project Donations”)
We now have two staff positions that are specifically aligned with our preservation work; the Preventative Conservation Technician and the Director of Preservation. Because portions of those salaries are covered by grants (and PSX’s endowment) and relate directly to conservation activities, these personnel expenses are include as an Conservation Projects.
