Wa:k Community Grant Fund
Through the Wa:k Community Grant Fund, Patronato San Xavier seeks to support members of the San Xavier District involved with continuing and safeguarding the community’s traditions and cultural heritage. Small grants—award amounts typically range between $500 and $1,000*—may support events, research, projects and other work that furthers the education and awareness of or continuation of cultural heritage practices.
Applications for funding will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, as funding allows.
Please submit a brief request that outlines:
- The requesting organization, contact name, role, and a phone number/email address for the main point of contact
- The nature of the project/event/work and its connection to local cultural heritage and traditions
- The funding amount requested and explanation for what it will support
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. The review committee may reach out for additional information.
Requests may be submitted to: info@patronatosanxavier.org
*Grants may exceed this amount if sufficient funds are available.
Examples of previously funded projects include:
- General operational support for the Gathering of Young Native American Men (2026)
- General support for the Holy Cross Committee in preparation for the Holy Cross Celebration (2026)
- Tent sponsorship for the St. Mary’s Feast Committee for the St. Mary’s Feast Day (2026)
